(April 19, 2024) Chatham, LA – In a remarkable debut with TwoC Racing, Seth Bergman seized victory in the 2024 ASCS National Tour opener at Super Bee Speedway on Friday night. Bergman’s impressive performance marked his 19th career National Tour win, establishing a commanding presence from the moment he took the track with the Oklahoma-based team.
Bergman’s journey with TwoC Racing began with a call from former ASCS National champion Wayne Johnson, who was sidelined due to injuries sustained in a recent crash. Bergman, a longtime friend and fellow competitor, accepted Johnson’s offer to fill the seat, aiming to make an immediate impact. And impact he did, leading all but one lap of the race and securing victory in his first outing with the team.
Reflecting on his seamless transition to TwoC Racing, Bergman attributed his quick adaptation to his longstanding friendship with Johnson. The familiarity with the team’s leadership instilled a sense of comfort and confidence, enabling Bergman to focus on delivering a stellar performance on the track.
While Bergman’s victory was dominant, his early maneuver on the second lap stood out as particularly notable. With strategic precision, Bergman navigated past competitors to claim the lead, setting the tone for the remainder of the race. Despite facing challenges from seasoned drivers like Andrew Deal and Brady Baker, Bergman maintained control and cruised to a well-deserved $4,000 payday.
Behind Bergman, Deal secured a career-best second-place finish, showcasing his prowess as a Rookie of the Year contender. Despite a challenging start, Deal demonstrated resilience and skill, ultimately crossing the finish line as the runner-up.
Meanwhile, Baker battled fiercely for a podium finish, ultimately securing third place after a hard-fought race. Despite grappling with loose handling, Baker’s determination and skill propelled him to a commendable result.
The night’s action also saw reigning ASCS National champion Jason Martin deliver an impressive performance, earning the Hard Charger honors with a fourth-place finish after starting from 22nd on the grid. Brandon Anderson completed the top five, further highlighting the depth of talent on display at Super Bee Speedway.
As the ASCS National Tour continues its exhilarating season, anticipation mounts for the next event at Super Bee Speedway on Saturday, April 20. With tickets available at the gate and streaming options provided by DIRTVision, fans can look forward to another thrilling night of racing action.
