Brady Bacon Goes Back-to-Back at Tri-State Speedway with WOO Sprint Cars

(April 20, 2024) Haubstadt, IN – Brady Bacon proved once again that he’s mastered Tri-State Speedway. Following his breakthrough victory at the bullring in 2023, Bacon returned in 2024 to assert his dominance with yet another exhilarating win.

Starting from the third position in Saturday night’s feature event, Bacon engaged in a battle with David Gravel for the coveted top spot.

The enthusiastic crowd, who have grown fond of Bacon’s accomplishments, erupted with cheers as he claimed Victory Lane once more. Reflecting on his performance, Bacon commented, “I had a really good car on the bottom. It was going to be hard to pass him (Gravel) just in open track, but I could move around a little bit more than him, I think.”

Last year, Bacon’s victory marked a significant milestone, making him the 150th driver to clinch a World of Outlaws race win. His latest triumph not only solidifies his position among the elite but also places him in great company as one of only five drivers to achieve consecutive victories at Tri-State Speedway, alongside legends such as Doug Wolfgang, Andy Hillenburg, Paul McMahan, and Carson Macedo.

The 40-lap main event witnessed a duel between Bacon and Gravel, with Bacon ultimately seizing the lead on Lap 9 after a series of exhilarating exchanges. Navigating through traffic, Bacon maintained his composure to secure a commanding lead and steer clear of his competitors.

With each lap, Bacon delivered a masterclass performance, deftly maneuvering through the quarter-mile track with unwavering determination. As the checkered flag waved, Bacon’s dominance was evident as he lapped up to 11th place, cementing his status as a force to be reckoned with in the Sprint Car realm.

Expressing his delight after the race, Bacon hinted at the possibility of more winged Sprint Car outings in the future, emphasizing the collaborative effort behind his success. “A lot of people come together to make this happen,” Bacon remarked, extending gratitude to his support system.

Despite his commendable effort, Gravel settled for the runner-up spot, acknowledging Bacon’s superior performance throughout the race. Rounding out the top three was Michael “Buddy” Kofoid, who continues to showcase consistency and resilience in his rookie year.

As the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Cars gear up for their next event at Knoxville Raceway, anticipation mounts for another thrilling showcase of speed and skill. Whether Bacon will continue his winning streak remains to be seen, but one thing is certain – his triumph at Tri-State Speedway has left an indelible mark on Sprint Car racing history.
