Corey Day Goes Back-to-Back With High Limit Racing at Red Dirt Raceway

(April 16, 2024) Meeker, OK – With a fresh design and a novel sponsor, Tuesday night at Red Dirt Raceway witnessed Corey Day once again showcasing his racing prowess. The young talent from Clovis, CA, seized victory in spectacular fashion during the kickoff of the Midweek Money Series, catapulting from a 7th starting position to claim the checkered flag at the bullring in Meeker, Oklahoma.

Behind the wheel of the distinctive Driven2SaveLives #14BC, a collaborative effort between Jason Meyers Racing and Clauson-Marshall Racing, Day displayed remarkable skill, ultimately earning himself a substantial payday. Not only did he secure the win, but he also made a fortunate fan $3,500 richer, courtesy of the added DURST Dice Roll money.

Day’s triumph was no fluke; it was a masterclass in dirt track racing. He executed a stunning pass on Tyler Courtney on Lap 20, navigating the high line to maintain his lead until the race’s conclusion. With this victory, Day’s earnings for the evening soared to an impressive $23,500, following his previous triumph at RPM Speedway.

Not to be overlooked, Wichita’s Andrew Howard also left the event with a significant windfall, pocketing an additional $3,500 after participating in the DURST Dice Roll and emerging victorious alongside Day.

Tyler Courtney, piloting the Clauson-Marshall Racing, NOS Energy Drink #7BC, continued his strong performance, finishing in second place and extending his lead in the early-season championship standings. Despite leading laps 7-20, Courtney was unable to fend off Day’s relentless charge through lap traffic.

Brent Marks secured the final podium position after a hard-fought battle, overcoming stiff competition from seasoned veterans such Sweet, Larson and Abreu. Parker Price-Miller and Justin Peck rounded out the top-five finishers, with Kyle Larson, Rico Abreu, Brad Sweet, Kasey Kahne, and James McFadden completing the top-10.

The event also saw notable achievements from various drivers, including Zeb Wise, who set the Capitol Custom Trailers QuickTime, and Justin Peck, who claimed victory in the B-Main and earned the Hard Charger award after an impressive +16 positions gained.

Looking ahead, the Kubota High Limit Racing series is set to continue its Oklahoma swing with two highly anticipated races at Southern Oklahoma Speedway and Salina Highbanks Speedway. With $12,000-to-win and $1,200-to-start on the line, fans can expect more thrilling action as the championship battle intensifies.
