(July 14, 2024) Bulls Gap, TN – Dale McDowell, hailing from Chickamauga, Georgia, continued his impressive run at Volunteer Speedway on Sunday night, securing his third consecutive Schaeffer’s Oil Southern Nationals Series victory at the track. McDowell, also a winner at “The Gap” in 2021 and 2022, led all 40 laps of the ‘Summer Sizzler’ from the outside of the front row, earning the $7,553 prize. He finished 1.553 seconds ahead of Chris Madden, who claimed second place.

Chris Madden, starting from the sixth position, methodically advanced through the field to secure a strong second-place finish. Canadian driver Ricky Weiss, who began on the pole, maintained a solid position in the top three throughout the race, finishing third. Cory Hedgecock, piloting the Viper Motorsports #36V car, stayed in the top five and finished fourth. Brandon Overton moved up three positions to secure fifth place.
