Dillon Brown Sweeps the American All-Star Series Season Opener at Sugar Creek Raceway

(April 6, 2024) Blue Ridge, GA – In a spectacular display of racing prowess, Dillon Brown from Gaffney, S.C., asserted his dominance by leading all 50 laps to secure victory in Saturday’s $5,000 American All-Star Series presented by PPM season opener at Sugar Creek Raceway. Brown, who also claimed the fast qualifier and pole position, pulled off a clean sweep, marking his second overall victory of the young season.

Throughout the race, Brown faced no serious challenges, maintaining a steady lead from start to finish. His flawless performance on the track earned him a well-deserved win.

A.J. Hicks secured the runner-up spot on lap 41, trailing Brown by 2.412 seconds in the final 10 laps. Tucker Anderson completed the podium.

Unfortunately, fifth-starting Jacob Brown encountered misfortune with a flat right-rear tire on lap 35, forcing him to retire from the race. Tyler Smith triggered the race’s first caution on lap 20, adding to the excitement of the event.

Trevor Sise from Knoxville, Tenn., showcased remarkable progress by starting 16th and finishing ninth, demonstrating his ability to maneuver through the pack.

Brown’s winning Longhorn Chassis, powered by a Hendren Racing Engine, carries sponsorship from Cherokee Landscaping, Pro Fabrication, and a host of other supporters.

The Rising of the Creek feature lasted 26 minutes, with 13 competitors completing the distance and 18 running at the finish, highlighting the competitiveness of the field.

Following the Sugar Creek race, A.J. Hicks leads the points chase with 98 points, closely followed by Tucker Anderson with 96 points.

With the next series race scheduled for April 13 at Lake Cumberland Speedway in Burnside, KY, offering another $5,000 prize, fans can look forward to more thrilling action in the American All-Star Series.
