(July 10, 2024) Beaver Dam, WI – Beaver Dam Raceway holds significance for Giovanni Scelzi and the KCP Racing team. It’s where crew chief Adam Clark began his journey with the team two years ago and where he secured his first World of Outlaws victory last year. The success continued as Scelzi captured another win at the Jim “JB” Boyd Memorial.
An Exciting Battle
Wednesday night’s race saw Scelzi emerge victorious after a close battle with Michael “Buddy” Kofoid and Emerson Axsom. Scelzi took the lead on Lap 15 and maintained his position despite a late charge from Kofoid, securing a $20,000 payday. This win marked Scelzi’s third victory of the 2024 season and his ninth career win with the World of Outlaws.
The Race Unfolds
The 40-lap feature began with Kofoid and Axsom at the front, and Scelzi in fourth. Kofoid initially led, but Axsom soon overtook him on Lap 3. Scelzi battled with Kofoid, reclaiming second place on Lap 14 and then taking the lead from Axsom on the next lap. Despite challenges from lapped traffic and a strong pursuit from Kofoid, Scelzi held firm to win the race.
