(April 27, 2024) Sumner, IL – In a thrilling debut aboard the Chase Briscoe Racing #5 car, Karter Sarff showcased his prowess by clinching the Morrow Brothers Ford, Inc. MOWA Sprint Car Series feature win at the Red Hill Raceway in Sumner, Illinois.
From the get-go, Sarff displayed his racing finesse, swiftly maneuvering to the lead from his pole position starting position and maintaining his advantage throughout the race. Despite several caution periods, Sarff’s command of the track remained unwavering, securing his victory flag-to-flag.
The competition was fierce behind Sarff, with New Zealand’s Max Guilford impressively charging from the fourth starting position to claim second place at the checkered flag, followed closely by Ryan Bunton in third. Jordan Goldesberry and Shelby Bosie made notable progress through the field, finishing in the top five. Goldesberry advanced an impressive ten spots, while Bosie skillfully overtook eight competitors.
Notably, this victory not only marks Sarff’s triumph as a driver but also solidifies Chase Briscoe’s position in the MOWA record books as a winning car owner.
Earlier in the evening, Bryce Norris, Logan Faucon, and Adyn Schmidt secured victories in the preliminary heat races, setting the stage for the feature event.
Looking ahead, the Morrow Brothers Ford MOWA Sprint Car Series is set to resume action next Saturday at the World Famous Highland Speedway in Highland, Illinois.
