Logan Seavey Sweeps Bill Gardner Memorial Sprintacular at Lincoln Park

(July 6, 2024) Putnamville, IN – Logan Seavey claimed an exhilarating win at Lincoln Park Speedway, taking home a $10,000 prize for the second consecutive night. The race saw Seavey make a dramatic late-race pass to secure the USAC National Sprint victory over Brady Bacon.

Early Lead and Tight Competition

Starting from the second row, Bacon quickly took the lead, with Logan Seavey and last night’s winner close behind. The drivers battled fiercely, with Bacon working the top shelf and Seavey chasing closely. The competition was tight, with drivers swapping positions and employing different lines to gain an advantage.

Strategic Overtakes and Cautions

Throughout the race, cautions played a crucial role in maintaining the intensity. Bacon held a strong lead initially, but Seavey stayed close, waiting for the right moment to strike. The two drivers engaged in a fierce battle, with Seavey diving low and Bacon holding the high side. The race saw multiple cautions, including a major incident involving Mitchell Moles flipping, which allowed Seavey to stay within striking distance of Bacon.

Late-Race Drama

With two laps to go, traffic became a factor. Seavey used the lapped cars to his advantage, diving to the bottom and executing a perfect slide job to take the lead from Bacon. The final lap was a drag race, with Seavey defending his position and Bacon attempting a last-ditch effort to reclaim the lead. In the end, Seavey crossed the finish line first, securing his second consecutive win at Lincoln Park Speedway. Seavey became the first driver to win both nights of the Bill Gardner Memorial Sprintacular.
