(July 6, 2024) Petaluma, CA – Sean Becker secured a $5,200 victory at the David Lindt Memorial, held at Petaluma Speedway, by winning the 30-lap NARC 410 Sprint Series race. Driving the Bjork Construction #7B Maxim, Becker outlasted a late-race clash with race leader Dylan Bloomfield to earn his 12th series win.
Key Moments
The race began with an early red flag, but once the action resumed, Dylan Bloomfield in the Starr Property Management #83V Maxim took the lead, beating out Justin Sanders on the restart. Despite a few cautions, Bloomfield maintained his lead, setting a fast pace.
As the race neared its end, Bloomfield struggled with a lapped car, leading to contact with Becker. Bloomfield came to a halt with two laps remaining, allowing Becker to take the lead and eventually win the race.
“It was getting harder and harder to run the bottom, and Dylan kept missing it, and it breaks my heart to win the race like that. I did not mean to make contact with him. I drove that car a couple of years ago, and I have nothing but respect for Dave and Debbie Vertullo as car owners and Dylan as a driver,” Becker said.
Top Finishers
Justin Sanders finished second in the Mittry Motorsports fielded Farmer’s Brewing Company #2X KPC. Cole Macedo, driving the Tarlton & Son #21 Maxim, charged from 13th to finish third, earning Williams Roofing Hardcharger honors.
Dominic Gorden in the Gary Silva Ranches #10 KPC finished fourth after battling with Macedo throughout the race. Justyn Cox, driving the Lippert Construction #42X Maxim, rounded out the top five.
Caeden Steele recovered from an early setback to finish sixth, followed by Nick Parker and Billy Aton. The top ten was completed by Bud Kaeding and Gauge Garcia.
Comments from the Winner
“This team has been so close for so long, and when you get a carrot in front of you, you go eat it,” an overjoyed Becker said. “I’m so happy for this team. We finally got a win with NARC, and we go to Watsonville next week, where I feel pretty confident there, too.”
