Trevor Neville Dominates Summit Modified Nationals at Oakshade Raceway

(July 13, 2024) Wauseon, OH – Trevor Neville had an impressive debut at Oakshade Raceway, dominating the DIRTcar Summit Racing Equipment Modified Nationals. The driver from Mackinaw, IL, led all 25 laps on Saturday night, securing his fourth Hell Tour win of 2024.

A Commanding Performance

Neville’s victory was marked by his consistent control throughout the race. Despite multiple cautions, he managed to stay ahead of the competition, particularly Mike McKinney, who was just 24 points behind in the standings. Each restart saw Neville fend off McKinney’s advances, showcasing his prowess on the track.

A Season of Rivalry

The season has seen intense battles between Neville and McKinney. Earlier in the week, McKinney had bested Neville, but this time, Neville emerged victorious. Reflecting on the season, Neville acknowledged the challenges and the competitive spirit that keeps them pushing for better performance.

“There’s been a lot of nights where I’ve wanted to load up and go home because of the competition,” Neville said. “But I remember we’re race car drivers and we’re here to put on a show for everybody and compete. It’s been back-and-forth but it’s what keeps us going and makes us make little changes and find things to be faster. It’s been fun and fair I’d say.”

Looking Ahead

The Summit Modifieds continue their Week 5 action at Wayne County Speedway in Orrville, OH, on Sunday, July 14. Tickets will be available at the gate, and fans can also stream the event live on DIRTVision.
