Today’s daily spotlight comes Southaven, MS but he currently resides in Odenville, AL. He will be driving a Modified this year. Please let me introduce, Chase Honeycutt.
Chase Honeycutt is a talented and aspiring third-generation racer from Southaven, Mississippi. He started racing cars at the early age of 14, inspired by family members and friends who were successful racers themselves.
Chase’s dream of driving a race car started to take shape as he grew up surrounded by racers, always challenging himself to the idea of outrunning those drivers he idolized as a kid. Now, at 22 years of age, Chase has driven street stocks, crate and super late models, and is currently trying out a modified class car, thanks to its commercial dock and door business that helps with his racing expenses.
Chase aims to keep his career on the rise, hoping to achieve regional racing level success within the next five years. He aspires to establish his own chassis/product brand and intends to mark that off his timeline within the next ten years. Whenever he’s free, he can be found working on his car or others; wishing there was more time in a day to dedicate to the racing lifestyle.
Chase stays busy this year simply running the modified class but is assisting in pit crewing Dan Cox Racing and chasing the Southern Allstar Late Model series points this race season. With an array of successful and ever-supporting racers that he’s come to know, Chase’s family has also played a significant role in shaping his dreams. His father and grandfathers particularly, made a pinnacle of racing milestones and continue to serve as a huge source of inspiration to him.
Chase extends sincere gratitude to CMC Fabrication & DMC Chassis and Body without their sponsorships, his racing aspirations will be unattainable. While reminiscing about how racing could be self-rewarding, Chase takes it a week at a time, focusing on how he can make his car happy from race to race. His unwavering passion to excel will inspire any driver aspiring for greatness.
In this race season, Chase has learned to find balance between chasing checks and plain fun. He’ll race as much as and try to enjoy himself to gather experiences and make significant strides to the top and inspire other racers on and off the tracks.
