(April 6, 2024) Springfield, MO – The Dirt Track Bank Cash Money Super Dirt Series witnessed an exhilarating showdown at Springfield Raceway on Saturday, April 6th. Sawyer Crigler of Alton, MO, starting from the pole position, showcased his prowess by leading all 30 laps of the race, ultimately clinching a well-deserved $1,000 prize and securing his fourth career victory in the Cash Money Super Dirt Series.
Despite intense competition, Crigler maintained a commanding lead throughout the race, leaving his competitors trailing in his wake. Kris Jackson, who started third and emerged victorious in Friday’s season opener at Midway Speedway, put up a strong fight but ultimately finished 2.588 seconds behind Crigler in a commendable second place.
Kaeden Cornell delivered an impressive performance, improving five positions to secure a respectable ninth place in the race. Chuck Comer, who started on the pole after winning the dash, displayed his skill but fell short of victory, finishing in a competitive position.
The heat races proved to be equally thrilling, with Sawyer Crigler, Kris Jackson, Chuck Comer, and Tim Petty emerging victorious in their respective heats. Saturday’s feature race, lasting 14 minutes, saw 19 starters completing the distance, highlighting the endurance and determination of the participants.
As the dust settles on the Springfield Raceway, attention now turns to the next event scheduled for April 28th at Monett Raceway.
