Today’s driver spotlight comes from Chelsea, Iowa. He is nicknamed “The Game Changer”. He is also a 2 time Stock Car IMCA Supernationals champion. Please let me introduce our dear friend, Dallon Murty.
Dallon Murty from Chelsea, Iowa, began his racing career at the young age of three years old in go karts. Since then, he has raced in numerous classes, including mini mods, stock cars, sport mods, and modifieds. Now 18 years old, Dallon currently races in an IMCA stock car and IMCA modified.
His father, Damon Murty, also competes in the IMCA Stock Car division, providing a unique opportunity for father and son to race together. Despite their fierce competitiveness, they maintain a level of respect for each other and always abide by the highest standards of sportsmanship on the track.
Dallon has always taken a week-by-week approach in his racing career. Despite this, he has accomplished incredible feats, with winning the IMCA Super Nationals and it being one of his greatest accomplishments to date. Winning this race is no easy feat, as numerous factors have to align to emerge victorious. He also won the 2022 track championship at Marshalltown and the 2021 Bristol Dirt Nationals. In 2019, he was also voted Rookie of the Year.
In five years’ time, Dallon is uncertain where he will be. Nonetheless, he continues to remain focused on his racing career, hoping to compete in more significant competitions instead of prioritizing points racing. Dallon plans to race across the Midwest this summer, gaining even more experience and honing his racing skills.
While Dallon loves racing, he also has other hobbies and interests. He enjoys playing video games in his free time, having previously played sports before. Ultimately, if his racing career does not work out, Dallon hopes to continue farming with his father.
In conclusion, Dallon Murty’s racing career began at a young age and has grown massively since then. His determination and love for racing have allowed him to accomplish incredible feats, and he continues to work towards further success. While he is uncertain where his future may lie, Dallon is committed to his racing career and will continue to race with his father whilst pursuing other interests.
